SSF | the EVENT Series

For close to eight years, Sustainable Style Foundation (SSF) has worked to make sustainability “the next big thing”. We have succeeded though an amazing volunteer core and our international partnerships/collaborations. Now, from fashion, food and film to interior design, travel, music and more, SSF has designs on making sustainability a timeless trend by using the power of popular culture to influence consumer choices in fun, positive, and creative ways.
SSF’s mission is to educate, support and inspire people from all walks of life to make more sustainable personal lifestyle choices at work, at home, and at play. This year will mark many landmarks including the inception of our SSF EVENT series designed to showcase the breadth of local sustainability and lifestyle choices. SSF recognizes 15 lifestyle industries and the EVENT series were designed to highlight each.
This is the first year of the series. Eventually, we hope to highlight all 15 industries.
Here is what we have planned to date:
- June 20, 2010 | Sustainable Running Tour of Downtown Seattle starting @ Barney’s New York and ending at SAM’s Sculpture Park
- October 17, 2010 | Sustainable Showcase of Music & Entertainment @ The Triple Door in Seattle
- November 4, 2010 | Highlighting Seasonal Cooking & Top Seattle Chefs @ Urban Enoteca in Seattle
