To make it easy to stay up-to-date with all of SSF's website content, we output everything through an RSS feed. If you don't have the foggiest notion of what that means, we'll explain in a moment. If you're already familiar with it, grab the feed for the reader that you use over on the right, and you're good to go. Don't see your reader over there? Here's all you should need:

Now, for those of you who don't know about RSS and content subscription, we'll fill you in. RSS stands for "Real Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary," and it's a way for you to stay up to date on a website that publishes information periodically without having to check back every day to see what is new. The information is automatically sent to you, via any number of programs that aggregate whichever feeds you want to stay on top of. These programs are called RSS readers, and setting them up isn't terribly difficult. Just pick one, download it, install it, follow the directions and you'll be sitting back with your favorite sites coming to you in no time. Here are the links to some of the more popular readers out there:
- Bloglines
- Google Reader
- My MSN
- My Yahoo
- Newsgator
- Pluck
For any Mozilla Thunderbird users, you can use it to read your RSS feeds, and for Outlook users, there's RSS Popper that extends Outlook to include RSS.
Once you've got a reader, just look for little orange rectangles that say "XML" or "Subscribe" or something on your favorite sites. If you have a common reader, you can just click on the correspondending button (Bloglines, My Yahoo, etc.); if not, just clicking on the "XML" or "Subscribe" button will take you to the page with the correct info. The trick is to not read what the page says; just copy the url in your browser and paste it where your reader asks for it. If you've done everything correctly, sit back and relax as the content you want is delivered right to your desktop, hot off the press. The only thing to worry about from here is going overboard and having more than you can read....
