from the editor:

Welcome to sass magazine!

Most everyone, throughout the course of their lives, thinks about making a difference in the world. Is it too idealogical and idealistic for me to think that I can make a difference? Perhaps, but I still believe that I can. This attitude drives sass magazine. We've found lots of other people that think the same way; just look at what companies like Loyalty are doing, as they take what other people discard and turn it into inspired fashion. We're impressed by Venture Snowboards' dedication and vision, as they create an amazing product complete with an amazing message. We want everyone to know that events like Greenfest are happening, and that they can help create positive change in your life from the outside in. If you already know of these people, these ideas, and these events, then pat yourself on the back. If not, take a look around, and know that the ease of living a more sustainable lifestyle is increasing every day, and everyone can be involved. From the most savvy and experienced to the most neoteric and new-fashioned, we'll share Wise Words and Heir Brains with you in each issue. You'll always be just one click away from being able to dress to impress, with Fashionably Forward. Nobody is perfect in the pursuit of the sustainably stylish life, so we bring you the lighter side of our message, with Confessions of a Sustainable Mind. You'll also find advice about how to make the things you buy go further in Green Eye for the Great Buy, as well as up-and-coming people and places in Fab Find. Want to hit the streets and get active? Check out our Events page to see when sustainable conferences, happenings and other goings-on are coming to a town near you.

It's not easy to change our world, and it isn't always easy to change yourself, but with sass magazine, it is easy to educate yourself and stay informed about the changes in the world of sustainability. You can make a difference in the world! Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

Collin Dunn
