Severn Suzuki was a robust 12 years of age when she addressed the 1992 Rio Earth Summit. Summer Rayne Oakes earned an entomology degree at an Ivy League School; oh yeah, she's a full-time model working in New York City, too. John Mlade has emerged as green building's young gun; his knowledge of sustainable design is changing the world from the ground up. Angela Lindvall is a supermodel who just happens to run her own non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring the young people of the world to become engaged with social and environmental issues. They're successful, driven, and nowhere close to being 30: they're our Heir Brains -- youth creating change in a big, big way, and we dedicate this issue their efforts to rock the world. In the spirit of creating change, we're doing a little bit of our own as well. Welcome Noel Gaudette, who has come on board to lead our art direction into new and far-out places. We've added some snazzy new departments, to help lead the future leaders of the world onward in sustainable style. We've scoured the globe to find the latest youth happenings for each style and design industry, and it was so much fun that we'll be including them in each and every issue. With the help of our very own astrology expert, Esteban Fortuna, we've consulted the planets and become one with the Zodiac, and are happy to bring you the very first style and sustainability horoscope. The world is a dynamic and changing place, but I'm proud to say that the future of the world is not blind to the changes. Read on to discover all the ways that the Heir Brains are making the world a more sustainably stylish place. Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
