Esteban Fortuna is SASS Magazine's resident sustainable astrology expert and star-gazer extraordinaire. He was raised in the hills in the outskirts of Machu Picchu, Peru. Struck by lightning at age seven, Esteban developed an affinity for the heavens and celestial bodies at an unusually young age. As an astrologist, he leads a largely nocturnal life, and is pondering a move to Iceland because the nights are getting too hot.

Alysia Garmulewicz is Director of Changing Climates Environmental Society (YC3), a youth-led initiative, focused on action, alternatives, and solutions for a changing world. She has been awarded the 2004 TD Canada Trust Scholarship for Outstanding Community Leadership, and was recognized as one of the 2004 Top 20 Under 20 youth in Canada by Youth In Motion.

Kathryn Gillick is a freelance writer working in California. She recently finished building a small cabin made almost entirely from recycled materials. When she's not writing or building, she's likes to explore the world, right in her backyard and across the world.

Shea Gunther started a dotcom when he was 20, watched it turn into a dotbom after raising $16M in venture capital, and fled west to Boulder, Colorado. He was a founder of Renewable Choice Energy, the nation's leading provider of wind power and blogs about green business, marketing, and whatever else randomly catches his eye at SheaGunther.org. He's launching his newest venture, Offset My Life, in May of 2005.
