FuelEconomy.gov: Info & Resources for Better Gas Mileage

October 18, 2006

Hybrid vehicles continue to lead the government's fuel economy ratings, according to 2007 fuel economy estimates calculated by the US DOE and EPA. With the absence of the Honda Insight, Toyota's Prius takes over as the most-fuel efficient vehicle.

The Honda Civic hybrid, Toyota Camry hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid FWD and Toyota Yaris round out the top five. Much more info on the rankings, plus tips to increase gas mileage and info on hybrids and other alternative fuel vehicles can be found at fueleconomy.gov.
