The Energy Star @ home interactive tool is full of handy tips to help reduce energy usage and bills while keeping warm this winter. The room-by-room guide, which includes fairly quick, easy tips, has something everyone can use.
The tips include replacing screens with storm windows, installing weather-stripping and caulk around leaky windows to keep the heat in; if you have radiators, placing heat-resistant reflectors between the heating element and wall to heat the room (instead of the wall); and sealing duct connections and seams with duct sealant.
