Live Earth, the global concert to raise awareness for climate change that happens on 7/7/07 and continues across all 7 continents, recently announced the 16 headliners for the US leg, including: Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Fall Out Boy, John Mayer, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, KT Tunstall, Ludacris, Melissa Ethridge, Rihanna, Roger Waters, Smashing Pumpkins and The Police.
The London leg of Live Earth will feature the Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Bloc Party, Corinne Bailey Rae, Damien Rice, David Gray, Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Genesis, James Blunt, John Legend, Keane, Madonna, Paolo Nutini, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snow Patrol. Said Al Gore, "We hope the energy created by Live Earth will jump start a massive public education effort. Live Earth will help us reach a tipping point that's needed to move corporations and governments to take decisive action to solve the climate crisis." Tickets go on sale next Monday, April 16.
