Radiohead Plays Acoustic Set for Environmental Benefit
May 3, 2006
Radiohead played an acoustic set at the Friends of the Earth (FOE) benefit in London earlier this week, using the appearance to debut some new songs.
The concert was held in support of "The Big Ask," an FOE campaign that is calling on the UK government to take action to combat climate change. "The Big Ask" Campaign, which was launched by lead singer Thom Yorke in 2005, is calling on thousands of people across the UK to demand the government take action to tackle climate change. Friends of the Earth is calling for the introduction of new climate change laws which would force the government to cut emissions of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, by 3 per cent every year. photo by Zach Cordner
