Started by Alice Waters in 1971, Chez Panisse has always been about running a restaurant like a dinner party with friends. The menu changes every night, designed to be appropriate to the season and composed to show off the finest ingredients available from the Bay Area. Alice and Chez Panisse have become convinced that the best-tasting food is organically grown and harvested in ways that are ecologically and socially sound.
