Land Rover's Carbon Offset Program

August 2, 2006

Owners of new Land Rover's in the UK will benefit from their carbon offset program. The program will "enable the development of environmental technologies across Ford and its Premier Automotive Group", according to Ford.

The program runs until the end of 2008 and should offset two million tons of CO2. The program, run independently by Climate Care, aims to offset emissions at Land Rover assembly plants and from new Land Rover users driving their vehicles, assuming an estimate of 15,000 miles of driving a year.
