SUMMARY

Seattle Run Tours offers runners a healthy and Green tour through the nooks, crannies and great historic districts of Seattle. Run past the same corridors, markets, and neighborhoods as Seattle’s former and modern pioneers. Alison White, the company founder, was frustrated by buses with stinky fumes that couldn’t maneuver through Seattle’s historic alleys, huge passenger vehicles that polluted both the air and the sea, and tours that promoted a sedentary lifestyle, AND missed the best Seattle restaurants. The solution was to start a healthy tour company that revealed the known and hidden secrets of the city, but did it all from a local’s perspective--from the ground up! ON the tour, participants hear a detailed history of the City’s battle with prohibition and prostitution, its friendship with Chief Seattle, its bridges, and curious feats of engineering. Participants will see and learn how it all started: Starbucks, Microsoft, the Space Needle, EMP, the Troll, and Gas Works Park. Seattle Run Tours supports active lifestyles for people from all walks of life so running is required, tours can be developed for people of all ages and abilities. Best of all, 5% of all proceeds to Seattle Children's Hospital.
