US Green Building Council Emerging Green Builders
The USGBC's Emerging Green Builders represents a coalition of students and young professionals intent on promoting the integration of future leaders into the green building movement. Their mission: to create a network of emerging green building leaders and develop opportunities for involvement through the USGBC to further generate momentum for the green building industry.

San Francisco Institute of Archtecture
SFIA is creating one of the first and most comprehensive programs in Ecological Design in the U.S. It is truly a school for the creative mind.

UC Berkeley
The College of Environmental Design (CED) and its three departments, Architecture, City and Regional Planning, and Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, bring together an active community of students, scholars, creative designers, and technologists concerned with the built environment and many related aspects of the natural environment. Through instruction and research programs and in their pace-setting design practices, the people of this college work in the forefront of the effort to build more efficiently, more beautifully, and in ways better fitted to the multiplicity of human, social, and ecological needs. The college is one of the largest in its field nationally and among the most distinguished internationally.

Film, TV, and Performing Arts
Hollywood Cinema Production Resources is a non-profit organization that offers union-based apprenticeship training in the Arts of the entertainment industry to under-represented or minority Los Angeles youth (ages 15 – 21), providing them with the critical skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers and empowered lives.

EMA's Gen E is the Environmental Media Association's program designed to bring awareness of Young Hollywood to environmental concerns. There is so much successful young talent between the ages of 20 and 35 that are unaffiliated with any philanthropic organizations. The environmental issues that EMA promotes awareness of will impact this age group significantly in the coming years. In turn, these celebrities can greatly affect the youth that supports their talent.

Industrial Design
Metropolis Magazine’s Next Generation Design Competition will award $10,000 to a project that reflects thinking about sustainability, universal access, and new technologies. The competition is open to any designer who has been working for ten years or less; submissions may come from multiple disciplines, including architecture, interior design, industrial design, experience design, communication design, and urban planning. The winning entry be featured in the June issue of Metropolis and on MetropolisMag.com; runners-up will also receive coverage in the magazine. The deadline for entries is January 15, 2005.
