October 11, 2005 | A big thank you to everyone who came to Greendrinks, SSF style. It was a full house at The Palm Room, where we were graciously hosted by SSF Board Member Brandon Peterson, who owns the hippest garden-design shop in Seattle.

May 17, 2004 | We are happy to announce that SeaNights one of the hippest parties in the Northwest has gone 'sustainable'. Not only are they bringing multiple cultures together, they are also considering the environment as they do so by bringing recycling into the club atmosphere. Check out their next events. April 28th, 2003 The Seattle Chapter of SSF held their first 'mini' event at the 1200 Bistro to launch SSF in the Seattle area and celebrate the birthday of one of our board members, Pat Cole. Featuring the music of James Wetzel and designs of Andrew Dyrdahl that incorporate recycled parachute fabric, the evening was a huge success. Best of all, the evening was actually a surprise for one of Pat's favorite friends, Jamie Becker of Marshall Fields.

• June 2004 | Presentation & Jury, University of Washington School of Industrial Design | Sean Schmidt discussed sustainable style and then juried the Ecologic Design students' final projects. You'll be seeing the projects in stores soon!
• May 2004 | Northwest Environmental Education Council's NW Sustainability Conference | Sean Schmidt gave a presentation at the conference, all about sustainable style.
• November 2003 | I Buy Different Student Scavenger Hunt | partnered with World Wildlife Fund, Center for a New American Dream and Sustainable Seattle to produce a student scavenger hunt as part of WWF/CNAD's I Buy Different campaign educating youth on sustainable consumption.
• October 2003 | Roosevelt Hale High School Visit | Sean Schmidt visited Nathan Hale High School to discuss sustainable style with the YMCA Earth Service Corps club.

• April 2003 | Sustainability Workshop, WSU Jefferson County | Sean Schmidt was one of three panelists presenting at a meeting of land developers and real estate agents on the topic of sustainability.
• April 2003 | SSF - Seattle Launch | A special birthday event for SSF friend and supporter Pat Cole. The event served as our SSF - Seattle launch and included fashions by Andrew Dyrdahl made from recycled parachute material, music my James Wetzel and special guest Jamie Becker of Marshall Fields.

• October 2005: Greendrinks, SSF Style | SSF hosted Seattle's Greendrinks at The Palm Room, owned by Brandon Peterson, who sits on the Board of Directors for SSF. It was packed, and always a good forum for discussion, drinks and some good networking.
• June 2005: Urban Hardwoods at Urban Ease | SSF co-hosted Urban Hardwoods party to celebrate their partnership with Belltown's Urban Ease. Some of their killer furniture is pictured below:
  

• August 2003: Fashion is Art Afterglow | A post party for the Fashion is Art held as part of the annual Bumbershoot Festival.
• July 2003: Legally Blond 2 Afterglow | A post party for the premier of Legally Blond 2 in Seattle, raising awareness for the Breast Cancer Fund and PAWS
• May 2003: SSF Website Launch | The SSF website serves as a clearinghouse of information on sustainable style demonstrating the amount and breadth of sustainability efforts underway across the many and diverse style industries. • Ongoing: Antioch, Center for Creative Change | Sean Schmidt serves on a committee to advise on the creation of Antioch's new Center for Creative Change.
