MOSID: home | museum | institute | hall of fame |
Design is all around us. At SSF, we're all about great sustainable design, whether it's a fabulous reclaimed wood chair, a snazzy logo that inspires us all to make the world a better place, or the latest hybrid automobile. SSF's Museum of Sustainable Industry & Design (MOSID) family of programs (Museum, Institute, and Hall of Fame) are designed to bridge all of our core program areas by:
- educating people of all ages and from all walks of life about sustainable industry and design and making them aware of the amount and breadth of sustainability efforts underway across design industries
- providing opportunities for sustainable industry and design students, professionals, and enthusiasts to network and seek support for their efforts;
- recognizing visionary people, products, and ideas in sustainable industry and design that help us all "look fabulous, live well and do good" and inspiring further innovation in the many and diverse design industries in which SSF works
The MOSID Institute will gather people from around the world and all walks of life to discuss past, present, and future opportunities and challenges in sustainable industry and design by offering courses for professionals and 'lifelong students' in sustainable industry, business, design, development, sustainable living, and more. As always, our goal is to educate, support, and inspire people to make more sustainable personal lifestyle choices at work, at home, and at play. Stay tuned for more information on the Institute, we expect to start offering classes in the Fall of 2008.
