For the third year in a row, Herman Miller is included on SustainableBusiness.com's list of the top 20 sustainable stocks among public companies worldwide.

IKEA | IKEA has completely phased out the use of polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) toxic flame retardants in all their furniture. PBDE's can cause neurological damage and learning disabilities in children and cancer in all humans.

The 2005 OSSA Awards

The Awards | Jonathan Adler | Each year, SSF commissions the OSSA Awards from a designer who fully embodies both SSF and OSSA ideals. This year, we are proud to feature two beautiful awards designed by Jonathan Adler. For years, Jonathan Adler has worked with Aid to Artisans, through whom they found their primary ceramics and textiles workshops. They are very proud of the fact that they have enabled the workshops to grow and to continue to hire workers who are trained, paid and treated in an ethical and fair manner. Jonathan Adler is also committed to exclusive use of glazes that are free of heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and selenium which are unhealthyy for end users and pollute the ground water of the people who make the goods.

Fabric | Design Tex | "Topic" was developed with a Swedish manufacturer of sunblockers for greenhouses, and this bright eco-conscious home line includes a group of PVC-free textiles made of a high-tech polyfiber in ten colors. "Rivergrass" is made from 100% recycled content.

Furniture | IKEA | see above

Program | New Leaf Paper from greenprinter.com | Finally, a green online printing service. The OSSA Awards program is printed on cardstock that is processed chlorine-free.

Sustainable Swag Bags | Full of fun sustainable products from the 2005 OSSA Award Nominees, including items from Antique Drapery Rod Co., Aveda, BP, Peanut Better, Pharmacopia, WWE and more.
