Editor's note...
November is the month many of us take the time to give thanks, reflect upon all we have, and eat turkey 'til we burst. It also marks the beginning of the holiday season; as we prepare to gather, commune and rejoice, everyone here at SSF encourages you to think twice before engaging in the seasons' typical practices of hedonism and overconsumption. Whether it's shopping, energy use or turkey consumption, we can all do a little bit to make November and the rest of 2005 happy and healthy for everyone. So have that second helping of turkey; just make it organic and locally-grown, and beware the lurking tryptophan nap. We all have lots of power to leverage consumer trends with our spending and consumption habits; you don't have to stop consuming -- just consume smart!
